I was born in Salem, Massachusetts, came to California from New England as a teenageer, received my Master's Degree from San Francisco State University. I had more than 1000 poems and short stories published in 21 countries and translated into 19 languages, edited an International Literary magazine, PROPHETIC VOICES with Jeanne Schuler-Farrell & Golide Morales for 11 years, edited antologies & chapooks with my press, Heritage Trails. I was nominated for the Pushcart Prize, recieved plaques from the World Congress of Poets & others, received first & grand prizes from Artists Embassy Internatonal, the New York Poetry Forum, the Berkeley Poets, Ina Coolbrith Circle, Poets of the Vineyard, & others, Certificates of Merit from the International Writers & Artists Association, the National Poetry Association, Poetry Oganization of Women, International Writers Association, Posie India International & others, had work published in two textbooks by the American Associaton of University Woemn, and has been listed in Personalities of the West & Midwest, the World's Who's Who of Women, Poets & Writers, Inc., and Contemporary Authors & Poets.
